The Barkcloth Centre, established by Xenson Art Space, is a multidisciplinary hub dedicated to advancing Uganda’s Barkcloth trade and production. 

It serves a one-stop center uniting key stakeholders, including artisans, researchers, educators, regulators, funders, and the media. the center focuses on generating knowledge, tools, and resources to support innovation, fine craftsmanship and artisanry while promoting sustainable practices. 

By fostering collaboration, it aims to fill gaps in the industry, encourage youth participation, and act as a central market place for finished products. the Barkcloth Centre is committed to preserving traditional knowledge while driving contemporary developments in the Barkcloth industry.
